The opioid epidemic has reached just about every community in Massachusetts and across this country. Last year alone, we lost 2,000 residents to overdoses. These are our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, neighbors and friends. Today, we are announcing one of the largest public investigations in our history. Together with 38 other attorneys general we are expanding our offices’ investigations into branded opioid manufacturers and distributors to determine if their sales and marketing practices contributed to this crisis.
